Christen Anton Wittman
Permitting & Development Director
Christen oversees development, permitting, and other regulatory activities for EnBW’s U.S. offshore wind projects, bringing over 8 years of experience supporting the growth of the offshore wind industry in the Northeast. Christen shapes environmental and permitting strategies around EnBW’s dedication to the protection of marine wildlife and resources, and commitment to local communities.
Before joining EnBW, Christen worked for the state of Massachusetts for six years, overseeing the construction of the nation’s first purpose-built offshore wind marshalling port in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She worked to establish offshore wind in the US through supply chain and workforce development, ports and infrastructure.
Christen has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts University (go Jumbos!). Outside of work, Christen spends time slowly renovating her 1880’s house, exploring local breweries, and taking her dog Daisy on nature walks.
